Alpine announced on Wednesday that Franco Colapinto will replace Jack Doohan and race alongside Pierre Gasly for the next five races as "part of an on-going assessment of [Alpine's] driver line-up". The team plans a new evaluation of its driver lineup before the British Grand Prix in July. 

This adds to the ongoing upheaval at Alpine, which had announced on Tuesday that team principal Oliver Oaks had resigned with immediate effect, with his duties being taken over by Executive Advisor Flavio Briatore.
