Top 3 Increses and Decreases in Average Predicted Race Positions

Posted by Admin on April 7, 2025

As the season progresses and drivers’ performance levels become more apparent, Tiposi.io users are adjusting their prediction patterns accordingly.

Today, we’re taking a look at the three drivers whose average predicted race results have shifted the most — both positively and negatively — since the start of the season.

Confidence Delta Race 1-3

Rookies Galore

Unsurprisingly, four of these six drivers are rookies, giving Tiposi.io users little prior data to rely on when making predictions.

What is surprising, however, is the leading rookie and the driver with the biggest increase in prediction confidence: Oliver Bearman. Counting both Qualifying and Sprint Qualifying, Bearman is tied 2–2 with his much more experienced teammate Esteban Ocon. His advance to Q3 in last Saturday’s qualifying for the Japanese Grand Prix gave his prediction average a noticeable boost.

Kimi Antonelli and Isaac Hadjar round out the other top gainers in prediction confidence, with both rookies delivering increasingly impressive performances.

On the flip side, Alpine rookie Jack Doohan has experienced the sharpest drop in confidence. The Australian is having an accident-prone campaign so far, with his latest crash into the barriers at Suzuka’s Turn 1 during Friday’s FP2 session reportedly costing his team over one million dollars.

Veteran Woes

The other two drivers seeing significant drops in average predictions are Lance Stroll and Carlos Sainz.

Sainz entered 2025 off the back of arguably the strongest season of his career — and his last with Ferrari. Many viewed him as the stronger driver compared to his new teammate Alexander Albon. But Sainz has struggled to adapt to his new environment at Williams, collecting just one point across three races, while Albon has amassed 18.

After a relatively strong start to the season — even outpacing two-time world champion teammate Fernando Alonso — Lance Stroll has slipped back into the inconsistent performances that have plagued much of his F1 career. The Japanese Grand Prix was a particularly stark lowlight.
