League Setup Guide

How to Create a Free F1 Prediction League for Friends

A step-by-step guide to running your own Formula 1 prediction league in 2026, for a group of friends, an office or a family.

Quick answer

To create a private F1 prediction league on Tiposi, sign up for free, click Create League, set access to private, choose flat or curved scoring and a qualifying format, and share the invite link. Everyone then predicts each race from P1 to P22, plus qualifying and season picks if your league includes them, and Tiposi scores every session automatically. A league holds up to 8 players.

Step by step: set up your league

  1. Create a free account

Register with a username, email address and password. There is no paid tier and no app to install; Tiposi runs in any browser.

  2. Create a league and set it to private

Open Create League, give it a name such as "F1 2026 Friends League" and set access to Private (invite only). Public leagues are open to anyone.

  3. Choose the race scoring

Flat gives 6 points for every exact position and 3 for one place off. Curved gives 1 to 11 points per exact hit, with the midfield worth the most, and half points for one place off. A correct fastest-lap pick adds 5 bonus points, and in leagues with qualifying a correct pole pick adds 5 more.

  4. Choose the qualifying format

Full grid means predicting qualifying from P1 to P22. Simple means predicting the Q1, Q2 and Q3 groups plus pole. You can also play races only.

  5. Decide on season predictions

Optionally add Drivers' and Constructors' Championship predictions with a deadline of your choice. These picks also act as a safety net: if someone misses a race deadline, their season picks count at half value.

  6. Invite your group

Copy the invite link from your league and send it to your friends. They join with a free account and appear on the league leaderboard straight away.

  7. Predict every weekend

Everyone submits their order before the session deadline and can change it until then. After the results are in, Tiposi updates the scores and the leaderboard on its own.

Your group Race scoring Qualifying Season picks
Casual friends or office league Flat Simple (Q1/Q2/Q3 + pole) Yes, as a safety net
Experienced F1 fans Curved Full grid (P1 to P22) Yes
Race day only, minimum effort Flat None Optional

How Tiposi leagues compare with other league tools

Most free league tools ask for part of the order: Kicktipp's F1 rules use the top 4 to 8, GPTip the top 8 plus pole and fastest lap, and Superbru the top 10. Tiposi asks for all 22 places and still scores near misses, so the midfield battles count as much as the win. See our comparison of the best F1 prediction games for more options.
